Dermal Fillers
A hyaluronic acid gel, a substance the body makes naturally, is placed beneath the skin to restore volume, soften folds or refine shape. It is gradually broken down by the body and can usually be dissolved if needed.
- Sessions
- Usually one appointment, with an optional review a few weeks later.
- Downtime
- Most people carry on as normal. Swelling or bruising usually settles within a few days; bruises can take 7–10 days to fade.
- Results
- Visible straight away once swelling settles; how long it lasts varies by product and person.
- Suits
- Volume loss in the cheeks, chin or jawline, deeper folds, under-eye hollows, or lip shape.
- Appointment
- About 45–60 minutes, including consultation and numbing.
- On the day
- We look at your face from every angle, agree a plan, apply numbing cream and place the filler in small, measured amounts, checking the result with you in the mirror as we go.
- Aftercare
- Avoid make-up for 12 hours, and heat, exercise, alcohol and pressure on the area for 24–48 hours. A review appointment is offered at around two weeks.
